At the meeting with Psyche, we got to discuss all of the ideas we had and how we would go about doing them. Before the meeting, I put together a little powerpoint just showing the visualizations of the windows and the different mannequin heads as well as the different kinds of trees that would work in the windows. All the members of Psyche seemed to be happy and quite enthusiastic about the final outcome, as were us students. We also got told that the windows would be entered into a competition which sounded very exciting as this would look really good on our CVs as well as feeling accomplished in being part of something.
Summary of meeting:-
- The installation of the windows- 28th October (latest 4th November)
- If we needed any electrical work doing, Psyche have their own indoor electrician
- 5 trees are needed for the windows- 7 windows, however 2 small windows don’t need trees
- Potentially putting lights in clear bottles on trees to make them look a little more christmassy
- Three mannequins in each window (15 mannequin heads needed overall)
- Old TVs are wanted for the mannequin heads
- Repeat pattern for backgrounds of waste- black/dark (images bought from Shutter stock or we design and take photo ourselves
- Flags need designing- just black with white Pysche logo on
This meeting was very insightful and it allowed us to come up with an action plan so we could progress and start constructing the different elements of the project.
